EPLA East is proud to partner with these organizations and programs to provide exceptional opportunities to our scholars on our campus!
Implemented in the 2021-2022 school year, EPLA East is an accredited Dual Credit High School where scholars can earn college credits while still attending high school. Click here for more information about Dual Credit options at EPLA East.
Implemented in the 2021-2022 school year, Mentoring Minds is a full suite of products from assessments, data tracking, and individual student profiles for our middle school scholars. It provides an individualized approach to student learning through its curriculum, supplemental resources that allow for students to work independently, and constant feedback for students to learn and grow from.
Every student will have access to a page with their personal learning plan and teachers will have access to even deeper levels of data that can enhance their instructional delivery.
Implemented in the 2021-2022 school year, 9th-grade scholars are able to take this class during their zero period and learn skills aimed at building a foundation in computer science with a curriculum designed by Microsoft to help set them up for opportunities in the field of computer science.
Implemented in the 2021-2022 school year, our 9th-grade scholars have the opportunity to take part in leadership activities culminating in the Great Debate where they are given the opportunity to debate students not only in the state of Texas but across the nation.
Since the 2020-2021 school year, EPLA has utilized the mentoring and online curricular support available through Summit Learning to develop skills our scholars will use beyond graduation.
Beginning in the 2021-2022 school year the EPLA district has submitted teachers for the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA). TIA, implemented by Texas Education Agency (TEA) rewards funding to recognize effective teachers.
We are proud to collaborate with 4 UTEP professors, including Dr.Tillman and the famed Dr. Skateboard to develop a holistic 7a.m. to 7p.m. day that features project based learning and individualized tutoring.
EPLA is proud to partner with the Center for Community Engagement (CCE) at UTEP to host internships aimed to provide experience to UTEP students who aspire to working with or in the world of nonprofit and community-based organizations.
