National School Choice Week is an annual showcase designed to show parents the various K-12 educational choices available for their children, including conventional public schools, public charter schools, public magnet schools, homeschooling, private schools, and online academies. For 2019, NSCW will be held from January 20 through January 26.
Started in 2011, NSCW has grown to become the largest educational opportunity event of its kind. Over the past seven years, more than 58,000 NSCW events have been held nationwide and around the world. NSCW is nonpartisan and independent, not affiliated with any lobbying organization or legislative body.
El Paso Leadership Academy is proud to participate in NSCW. EPLA is different from other educational institutions. EPLA provides a rigorous college preparatory curriculum based in real world applications. We foster leadership and character development to help our students succeed in college and in the workplace. EPLA maintains partnerships and collaboration with local businesses and nonprofits to enrich our students’ educational experience. Most importantly, we practice differentiated instruction, evaluating each student’s educational needs individually, and developing individual courses of study to meet those needs.
Our students’ parents appreciate the structured yet personalized approach of EPLA; the testimonials below represent just a few of the statements of gratitude and praise we’ve received over the years.
“My son has been attending El Paso Leadership Academy for 2 years, and it has been an amazing experience for both my son and I in all the ways that matter. The teachers consistently expect the best from their pupils and I feel that the syllabus being taught is advanced for their ages, which only does wonders for their growth and intelligence.”
“This school is truly a hidden gem. I am a mother of a child with autism and this school has been an amazing change for my son. We were truly worried about where our son was going to attend middle school and after a rough elementary school experience and a year of preparing for this transition we found ourselves at EPLA. Every person on staff has gone above and beyond to help my child find his place here and the growth I’ve seen in him is truly remarkable.”
“This is a great example of the old saying ‘you can’t judge the book by its cover.’ Visually might not fit the eye but once you go in and experience it you love it! The love and dedication of the staff and teachers is amazing. This school will challenge your kids to a whole different level and at the same time encourage them to do more. If you are looking for a great middle school, look no more! EPLA is the place.”
